Headphone jack on front of case not working

Hi,

I took delivery of my new computer from pcspecialist today, so far so good except it has a "Asus Xonar DG 5.1 SoundCard & Headphone AMP" soundcard and the case is "COOLERMASTER ELITE 311 BLUE CASE".

When I plug the headphones into the headphone jack on the front I get no sound.

Any ideas ?

I've tried setting the 4 connected devices as shown in the image below to be the default, but neither results in sound. I get sound fine through the monitor speakers, but they are terrible. I need the headphone jack on the front to work.

open up the case, the front panel audio cable should lead from the front of the case to into the soundcard. - you should see this cable plugged into the side of the card.

Even if it appears seated correctly, remove it and re insert it. They can come loose in transit
