Headset/microphone single socket: how many poles?

I am considering a 15.6" Initia AKA Clevo NL51RU. It has a single "Headphone-out/ MIC-in phone jack", but there is no specification of how many poles are needed. Presumably this is one of the TRRS standards. All my headsets have separate microphone and headphone connectors, so I will need to buy an adapter or whatever. But I need to know whether the connector is wired for stereo microphones, in which case it will presumably need 5 poles? I suspect that a compromise has been made and only a mono microphone is supported, so just 4 poles. Or maybe 4 pole connectors just short the two stereo mic inputs together, so either can be used with a mono mic? I don't even know if 5 pole connectors exist (TTRRS??).

I doubt that this is specific to the Initia, but I think the "detailed specification" should include this information.
