Hi there,

I don't think that's the best use of the budget you had in mind. However, it will be a very capable system. What monitor are you pairing the system with? is it a high refresh, competitive 1080p 240+hz monitor? Are you a competitive gamer?

We are volunteers here so the consumer is our first consideration.

For now its my old monitor 1080p 144hz. I am looking for a new monitor so any recommendations are welcome, I was looking for 1440p. No Im not a competitive gamer, just wanted to treat myself.

1440p sounds much more apt to be honest. Unfortunately it would need a monitor around £300-£400.

That being said, what's the budget for the actual PC itself? Lets see what we can get! ;)

Perfect. What budget do you have for the PC? We can't see anything regarding your build without the link at the bottom :)

Ahh, I wouldn't have recommended such a build.

When you are configuring the build, you have an option to post to forum to ask for advice. At the bottom is a link along with the configuration. It makes it easy to suggest changes. You are now at the point of cancelling and re-ordering, or sticking with an Intel build. If you aren't heavy into Simulation gaming or extreme FPS gaming then I would probably cancel.

TBH I really do want the extreme FPS gaming, Any reason why you would change from an Intel build?

For extreme FPS Intel does have its merit. The issue with Intel is that it's at the end of its life. The 9900k runs as hot as a toaster and there are numerous security issues with the architecture.

If you're sticking with the 9900k you're really going to need to put a FAR better cooler on there. The H100i RGB platinum would be the minimum with the H115i RGB platinum being recommended.
