I have just got the power supply replaced in my current desktop with a quiet 800W so I will use that along with my monitor. I'm wondering if a sound card would make that much difference as I always play games and music out of a amp and speakers.

Will water cooling be worthwhile for a CPU I don't plan on overclocking?

What does everyone think?

you can save youself the money on the watercooling right away, it is way over the top for just gaming with no overclock. The tripple copper heatpipe will be fine as cooling.

You could drop the the i5 2500k (for the free battlefield i presume) as that processor tends to be fine for gaming with. Then add the silver warranty for 1 years free collection.

Do you intend to send your PSU to PCS to install in your build? I think you would have to as they wont be able to test the system properly without the 800w PSU installed i don't think.

Thanks for your help, getting the i5 2500-k and getting rid of the water cooling does get it down to a comfortable £1193.00

The thing is, I plan to have this PC a while and I want a decent processor as that's the most annoying thing to upgrade. Will not having hyper-threading on the CPU make much of a difference?

I forgot they'd have to test the computers first, I'll get a 650W and swap it over when it arrives.
