I need help with this

So when I turn on my pc I have to click f12 then select the device that has windows installed on It.
I remember before this never used to happen

I would just turn it on and it would take me to to the page where you have to type your password/pin

Try going into the BIOS boot menu, then check the drive your OS is on is the first in the boot order, if not select it as main boot drive.

It sounds like the CMOS battery is dead. It's a button battery {most probably a CR2032) somewhere on the motherboard. They're quite cheap, just be sure not to touch the new battery with your fingers, the oils on your fingers can damage the battery.
