Any advice please!!

I'm looking on getting a computer for Music production, recording and mastering.

I haven't the slightest idea what i need in it. I have a budget of £800 - £1000 tops.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Heya,

You can get a high powered PC for £1000, are you likely to play any games on it at all? If not then graphics card is not a priority, instead get a decent amount of RAM (could go up to 16gb if what you do is RAM intensive) and a decent processor, maybe go up to an i7.

I don't know if you need a monitor etc but I included one, if you start with something like this you can play around with it.

Also, the solid state hard drive speeds things up... but if you want to save money then it's not a necessity.
