Hi everyone,

I'm new to gaming on the PC, I've played the odd bit of Minecraft, CS:GO & Modern Warfare 2 on an iMac I had a few years ago but thats about it and it was an awful experience. Always mainly been a Xbox/PS user.

I need help in choosing/building a gaming PC that is ideal for gaming and everyday internet browsing, with a budget of around 400-500 for the desktop on its own. Games played would be similar as before, Minecraft, CS:GO. Also the Call of Duty & Battlefield series (mid/recommended settings). I also wouldn’t mind running GTA on mid settings if that is also possible with my budget.

Is this something that would be possible with my budget? Appreciate any help!:)

That would help wouldn’t it haha. I edited it now, but it would be £400-£500 budget for the desktop itself. Cheers
TBH at that budget you’d get a better experience off console.

The way it works with PC is there’s kind of a bottom budget where anything below that gives a poor performance to the point where consoles are better. Also, when spending that little you’d limit upgradeability so much that it’s not really worth having the PC anyway.

For a basic spec PC, you’ll need about £650
