Help on a laptop build? There's too many options.

Hello all, I am currently looking into buying a laptop for games design purposes such as programming and pixel/2D art. I know having an SSD, good RAM and CPU are main priority but there's just so many to choose from.

I would like something that I could grow into and keep around for years to come when my skills are hopefully better and working on bigger projects. My top price would be £1,500. Thank you for reading and I look forward to seeing your ideas for specs.

What size of laptop were you thinking and are there any other features you'd want? Is portability more important than performance for example?

Bigger screen would be nice but actual thickness and other stuff like that doesn't really matter to me and profomance is definitely top priority, portability isn't a concern to me.
