As said countless times, all you are ever given is estimates. Just please be patient, they will build it as soon as they can.
That is all well and good, but the estimate I was given at the point of ordering was 6-8 working days. My order is now 12 working days in pre-production... Also refering to the "% of Orders Dispatched Within... " chart on their website, 43% of PC orders were despatched within 7 days. They clearly state the chart does not include fast track order. To me, this means, that at least 43% of orders have taken priority over mine. Am I undesrtanding this correctly? Can you see how I am starting to feel a little bit disappointed?

I wasn't referring to you.

When did you order yours?

1st of Jan. I emailed on Thursday to ask if there were any issues with the order (as in out of stocks etc), so I know there are no such problems with it.
Desktop or laptop? I haven't seen estimates being that low since before christmas. They've been at around the 9-12 days for a while now for desktops.

The solution to that is to buy an off-the-shelf PC, where you get whatever the manufacturer felt like putting in the system, instead of a build where you get to choose the parts.

PCS do sell some next-day delivery systems, and do offer fast track options on custom orders, but again, you don't get to choose the parts on fact track (it's a pre-set configuration though unlike some prebuilds at least they tell you exactly what's inside!) and for expedited building you pay extra.

My first order with PCS took quite a long time, I think over 20 days(?) Which was getting awkward as it was for a gift and I'd spent every last penny of the budget on hardware without the room to spare for faster delivery. But it got there in time :)

Once it exists pre-production, the building, testing, shipping, and delivery is usually very fast - within a few days.
