You would need to contact the seller and they would need to call PCS to transfer the warranty.i bought a pc specialist laptop from ebay (a shop that buy and sell stuff) the laptop still has all the protection on it but the strange thing is that the keyboard is total black with no letters or numbers on it . the model is GK7CP5R
And if by '...it still has all the protection on it...' that there are passwords that you don't know, you'll have to ask the seller for those too. We cannot help you bypass any security I'm afraid. You would need to contact the seller and they would need to call PCS to transfer the warranty.
I don't work for PCS (few of us on here do) so you'd have to call them. Based on other examples of people buying second hand PCS built laptops the answer is always a pretty emphatic no I'm afraid.was bough from a shop (like a pawn shop) on Ebay they dont have any details. :-( is possible to put a new warranty on it?
They can’t warranty a product except from new as they have no way of knowing what’s been done to it previously. It’s not possible to warrant second hand products except from 3rd party insurers.was bough from a shop (like a pawn shop) on Ebay they dont have any details. :-( is possible to put a new warranty on it?
I would ask for advice, I can't think of many uses where that would be a good config?anyway i decide to sell that and i've decided to buil a new one with a better config . the optimus x v2 but with 32 gb ram 1tb m2 intel with 32gb optane and rtx 2060 . i can't wait to have it.
Outof curiosity why would this config be bad?I would ask for advice, I can't think of many uses where that would be a good config?
Optane with an M.2 SSD?!anyway i decide to sell that and i've decided to buil a new one with a better config . the optimus x v2 but with 32 gb ram 1tb m2 intel with 32gb optane and rtx 2060 . i can't wait to have it.
Why the 32gb RAM, why the optane.Outof curiosity why would this config be bad?
The RAM is overkill unless you're doing something wack like engineering simulations, but what's wrong with the rest if I may ask?
Like I said I understood RAM is overkill, but doesn't optane super boost the speed of your storage option? Why the 32gb RAM, why the optane.
Yo why is this a problem?Optane with an M.2 SSD?!
It’s designed for systems where you don’t have an SSD. It’s expensive per Gb but worse performing than an NVME M2. If you want serious speeds, you just buy an m2Like I said I understood RAM is overkill, but doesn't optane super boost the speed of your storage option?
As it saysLike I said I understood RAM is overkill, but doesn't optane super boost the speed of your storage option?
If you look at the spec produced by the configurator you'll see that it tells you that Optane is for mechanical drives only. Optane is a big cache that may improve HDD access times (and even that depends upon your data access patterns). It's of absolutely no use at all with an SSD and since you specified an M.2 drive you're looking at an SSD.Like I said I understood RAM is overkill, but doesn't optane super boost the speed of your storage option?
