Hi need help with getting the right editing laptop

Hi,

I need help finding the right editing laptop. My main focus will be editing with 'Sony Vegas Pro 16' recording game play with 'Elgato GameCapture' and using 'Photoshop cc2019' for thumbnails. I would be much appreciated if someone can help my build the right laptop. My budget is between £1,000 - £1,200 but preferably I would like to stay around £1000. This is the laptop I got referred to so far. Videos will be 1080p 60FPS

The Optimus IX (which might be limited in availability) is cheaper for the same spec.

Also, go with the faster SX6000 SSD from the M.2 Menu instead. Similar price to the 2.5" Seagate.

Or the Optimus X gives a more powerful spec than the Recoil for still a lower price (faster CPU and GPU)

Hi,

I need help buying a editing laptop. My budget is around £1,300. I need it to run Elgato game capture, Sony Vegas, adobe premiere. I would also like it to be some what portable. Just so I can take it to small trips like to a cafe and my friends house.
Any help would be much appreciated. I’m happy to buy a 17.3 inch if possible just so I can be more useful while editing.

If taking the thing to the cafe isn't essential, you could get a compact desktop with more powerful hardware and the ability to upgrade hardware in the future. If you're at the cafe and on battery you won't be doing much rendering anyway. There may even be an argument for getting a desktop PC for the editing and a tablet for casual work on the go.

If you do need to take the computer around with you, then maybe something like:

For £1500 you could get a Proteus with an RTX 2070.
