High End Computer Spec Review

I'm about to purchase a high end video editing PC for uploading gaming footage to Youtube and Twitch along with some gaming on the side.

I use most of the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Audition, After Effects) and tend to do a lot of multi tasking.

The end goal is to make a super powerful machine for what I produce, and to make it AS QUIET AS POSSIBLE

My budget is £2500 INCLUDING Monitors.

I have purchased a computer several years ago from this website and thought I might as well get a second opinion before get it.

Here is the spec - Aoqv1CT.jpeg

If there are any changes you would make please let me know what you would suggest swapping for it and why.

Thank you for helping!!! :D

it would be easier to see if you copy/paste the spec. Is there much gaming involved? A quiet case would decrease noise but I doubt it would be noticeable if you have a high end gpu, there is also the trade off with cooling gaining an insignificant decrease in noise. For your budget I would go for at least gold warranty

The extent graphics wise would be something like Portal 2, while streaming / recording. Although I would be interested in some of the more demanding games they are certainly not my main source of entertainment.

Will do!

So it's going to be loud purely on the 980 Ti? I don't mind sacrificing some heat for quiet depending on what that limits me too...

Many thanks for the speedy reply

The 980ti can get quite noisy under heavy load but I don't imagine you stressing it too much on your general day to day usage. It is silent up until around 60 degrees C and then the fans start to spin up. I'm not sure on the noise of the cpu cooler you selected I'm afraid.

I'm thinking of changing it too NOCTUA NH-D15S FAN CPU COOLER, but I'm not sure it will fit in the case?

My other question, should I OC the cpu or leave it at 4.00GHz?

Thanks

The Noctua is awesome. If it won't fit in that case, it will fit in the Fractal Design R5. I am biased but it is a far superior sound deadening case IMO with good options for moving hard drive cages around for optimum air flow. I overclocked my 6700k to 4.5Ghz fine at a lower than stock voltage so temps are lovely and cool.

Consider a pre-overclocked build from the OCed systems configurator. It would be worth checking to see if there's much different in cost. There may well not be.

Not because you can't do it yourself, but because it means you will have a chip that will definitely support a 4.6GHz OC. Every chip is a little different, and if you're rather unlucky you might get one that doesn't OC well. Having PCS OC it for you first at least shields you against the worst luck in the silicon lottery. :)

I would have recommended a pre-OCed build with Haswell-E and X99 chipset. Which is better than Skylake for video editing and rendering type work. I actually specced one out earlier identical to the above (with noctua cooler) but it came to ~£2650 so I didn't post it. If you decide you want to go over budget though, you can consider that as an option.
