I'm fed up of HotKey both not working and stealing focus so I'm turning it off. Most of what it does I can do using keyboard / mouse (eg fn-F3 to mute speaker, ctrl-X T to enable / disable WiFi). I'm not sure just what the VGA button does. If its simply toggling between balanced & UMA mode I'm good to go, if not I need to understand what it does.
