1. How do you overclock a machine.
2. Why would you want to overclock.
3. What are the advantages/disadvantages of overclocking.
4. Can you overlock only certain computers

1. Depends what part of the machine you want to overclock. If you want to overclock cpu and ram you would do this via the bios. Its possible to use software within windows to overclock, but its more efficient to use the bios.

2. To squeeze as much possible performance out of my computer.

3.Advantages are decreased loading times, and extra fps. Disadvantages are increased heat and shorter lifespan of components. Keeping things cool, and not over volting stuff can ensure you don't shorten the life span drastically.

4. Most computers can be over clocked, with varying degrees of success. Certain computers, such as dell have their bios locked so you cannot over clock.

I'm no expert, and only partake in safe overclocking which won't harm my components but ill help if i can.
