Looks pretty decent. The only thing, if you can push it a little bit more, I would go for the 750GB SEAGATE MOMENTUS XT HYBRID, especially since it is the only drive in your system. Size is not the only difference between the two. The 750 is like the 2.0 improved version. Have a look around for reviews/ and comparison of the two.

Cheers!

Thanks for the advice on the 750 :) i have a problem now lol do i pay around 800 for that gaming laptop or build a more powerful desktop with a GTX 570? Will it be a lot better for games?

Desktop for sure :)

Well, this really comes down to how mobile you need it to be, desktops will always work out better value, but if you need to move it around quite a bit then a laptop would be the better plan.

Well i'd much rather a laptop and i may fork out the extra for one of the GTX 660m, 670m or 675m's...tbh all i want is a good computer which will power through games..with quick speed for my daily tasks such as internet browsing, photoshop..music etc. That rig you just put up ruben...will that play most games on ultra?

It would get high fps on high and in some games on ultra (depends what games) but it would definitely give you a better performance than the laptop gaming wise. The spec allows you to add a 2nd HD 7870 to crossfire if you need to later on.

I found some benchmarks for Metro 2033 between the HD 7870 and the HD 7870 in Crossfire, not sure on settings but you can see that the HD 7870 in crossfire would outperform the GTX 680.

Ohhh this is good news but at the same time badddd :( lol i really want a laptop but i think i would rather spend my money for better value as i want to game mostly. IM guessing the predicament im in is either pay 800 for a half decent GFX card on a good laptop or pay around 800 for a really good GFX card on a really good desktop :/

Your build is pretty much the same as mine (laptop) except I got the 500GB Seagate as it is on special offer and had a different wireless card. I haven't got it yet but I can let you know when.

I would always go for a gaming PC first then save up your money and get a laptop. I got my PC a year ago and now want a laptop to use when I can't be bothered to start up my PC (I say that but it takes like 15 seconds to boot up, but you get me) or I need to do something quick and easy.

If you want to run games like BF3 or really high resolution games at their best invest in a PC then get a laptop for backup.

Well the reason i want a laptop is because of its portability..like i can lounge on the sofa playing a game whilst havinv the tv on..such and such. Also so i can take it away with me when travelling etc but i also want a really good gaming set up so i can play some oldies like half life 2 but also play stalker, bf3 and games far more recent like gta iv and v when it arrives. I really am torn..:( lol

Get what you want for the use it will get. There's no point in getting a PC which doesn't get used as much as a laptop would. My PC is my first computer for most things and the laptop will be my backup.

Im still torn but i keep asking myself what i would use more..but either way ill regret it as if i pick a laptop...i won't have the best graphics card for my budget. Then again, if i picked a desktop i wont have the laptop ive always wanted. its like 55% laptop 45% desktop...not much in it at all :(

I think that means laptop then, cos with a desktop you're just not going to be able to do that at all.

Yea your right, no point me going for a desktop when all of the time i've wanted a laptop is there. Now i think about it i may just pay up to £100 a month for the 12 month interest-free period and get the 7970M, or the GTX 675m...yea it will be a whole lot more than 60 odd a month but im guessing for the extra 40 per month and totalling up to 1300, it will probably be worth it? the choices are the GTX 670m, 675m or the HD7970m ...and im guessing if im to pay that sort of price per month i may as well get the best on offer?
