Hello, I've been looking to upgrade my pc to one of the PCSpecialist Pre-Builds.

Before I can do that though, I need to work out how much £ I could get for my current PC

PC: Alienware Area 51 (2016)
Specs:
CPU: I7 5820k (6 core @3.30GHz)
Motherboard: Alienware's Socket 2011 LGA
RAM: Alienware's 16GB (4x4) 3000MHz DDR4
Graphics: Nvidia GTX TITAN X (Original One)
Storage: 128gb SSD + 1tb HDD 7200rpm
(Not sure on Power supply)

Oh and the trademark Alienware Area 51 case :)

Any ideas on price would be appreciated :D

I think your auto-corrector has changed 'ripoff-branded' to 'alienware' when you talk about the case?

But regardless, you will need to check out reseller sites like ebay to see what that sort of thing goes for. With those components it's a pretty niche PC so your target market will be pretty small. Could sell bits separately too.

That must have cost several thousand too coming from alienscam and selling it after only 3 years is a pretty poor return for your investment! Why ARE you selling it? That build can't struggle for much surely?

That cost you £1.5k? Secondhand I presume then?
I'm thinking the same thing, As i got an Alienware back in 2009, Brand new at around £3,5k, Its was the biggest mistake I've ever bought, but it was the only pre-built PC's i knew of at that time, ( as i was new into getting Online/ PC's and PC gaming )
If i can remember, it had...
i7 980
Nvidia GTX 295
6GB RAM
3TB HDD
850w PSU,
It was totally bricked after 4 years, Customer Support was bad, I never again will get an Alienware, I threw my Alienware PC away after i got my first PCspecialist PC in 2014,

That GTX Titan X alone was a £1200 card in 2016 i believe, i doubt the rest of the PC came to another £300, to make it £1.5k brand new from Alienware.

Apologies guys, I'm going to lock this thread. To the OP, we can't really advise on second hand worth on this forum.

The best advice we can give is to check marketplaces for equivalent builds to see what they're selling for.

Needless to say, PC equipment loses value pretty fast.

All the best with it, and when you're ready for a PCS system, do let us know and we can advise on something a lot more practical.
