Huge file in Program Files...

I've just found in the program files of my laptop a file (no extension). Its name is a whole load of random characters, and it is 185GB (that's 2/5 of my hard drive right there). When opened in Chrome, it tries to download something. The last time it was modified was in 2010, around the time that I got the laptop. Can I safely delete it without killing my computer?

I'd scan your pc for viruses and nasties mate. sounds odd to me

google and virus scan

id recommend AVG Free and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for the scans, both free

MSE is good anti virus too

I was recently checking a friends computer which was giving HD nearly full warnings & found Norton had been storing AV scans, deleted Norton & installed MSE, sweet as a nut now.
