I think I need a new motherboard socket type LGA 1155

Hello, recently my motherboard died due to my GPU short circuiting it. TBH im not sure if its completely dead, I had a ASUS P8Z77-V LX, and I had a gtx 660TI, so one day i turned my computer on and the resolution was all messed, when I tried to download drivers for it i got the code 43 error. I even tried a completely different computer and the same happened. so after a while i took it out of my PC and then tried to plug a hdmi directly into my motherboard, which would previously work, but this time it did not. my cpu fan and other case fans would all work, my mouse and keyboard would light up, but my monitor would not detect anything. I have even tried a different monitor using the dvi port and still no picture.

So I believe my mother board has died. Does anyone know of any good motherboards for my i7 3770k processors, socket type LGA 1155, don't mind if its second hand, need a quick cheap replacement as ultimately going to get a new PC

I might aswell kill 2 bird with 1 stone and ask if any of you have a suggestion for any good gpu for that setup aswell please let me know.

Thank You

Are the integrated graphics actually enabled in the BIOS? It's always possible the setting has changed.

You're only going to find something 2nd hand for a CPU that old.

Is this a system from PC Specialist? What is the full spec? Copied and pasted from the order summary on your account.

Your motherboard will have the ability to reset settings, probably detailed in the manual that you can still get online from Asus. And/or if your GPU still works enough to output video that would get you into the BIOS.

As the forums belong to PC Specialist who build and sell custom PCs and laptops we can't advise on competitors' specs or self build projects though.

You could try an open forum like Tom's Hardware. Hope you get it sorted.
