i5-12600k or R7 5800x - new PC

Hi guys hope you are all well. I'm about to buy my first PC and I needed some advise from the collection of great minds on this forum!

Should I take the plunge and purchase the new i5 12600k with Z690 mobo, DDR5 or stick with my current spec which I ordered over a month ago but hasn't as yet been built due to the GPU not being in stock (EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 ULTRA).

Current spec:
R7 5800x
2x8G CorsVengRGB PRO DDR4 3600
MSI X570 Tomahawk Wifi Mobo
Ssung 980Pro 1TB M.2 PCIe4
RM750 80PLUS Gold FMod ATX

If I were to change the CPU, ram and mobo, it would cost an additional £160. My question is, would it be better (and cheaper in the long run) to spend the additional £160 to upgrade to next gen tech now?

Just looking at the benchmarks for the i5 12600k, it looks extremely good for the price.

Any advice greatly appreciated

Thanks

I'm afraid as these forums belong to PCSpecialist who build and sell custom PC's and laptops, we can't advise on self builds or competitor builds, you may want to check out toms hardware which is an open forum.
