i7 2630QM Temperature...

Hey!
I have a 17.3" Optimus II with a Geforce 555m and an i7 26030QM.
When playing a game, the 555m reaches temperatures about 65C and the processor about 70C.
Now I was quite shocked when I saw that my CPU temperature is ~85C when rendering a video.
Is this normal?!

What would be the temperatures if I would use the Turbo Boost?

I think thats normal, especially since its on a laptop and your ambient room temps play a role in how warm/hot your laptop can be where it then affects the rest of the laptop. I could be wrong but i think that is quite normal for your temps unless you disable turbo? but thats quite odd in my view since those chips are pretty much designed with turbo. Another small solution could possibly getting yourself a laptop cooler?

No that's perfectly fine i have a Optimus II as well, I presume the Highest temp recorded was when it was plugged in? Mine runs at 84degrees on the CPU and 64 on the GPU while folding (plugged in) and about 10 degrees less or more while unplugged. I invested in a Zalman NC3000S cooler though and it works a treat, i'd recommend it .
