IF i want to put a new graphics card in my desktop, do i need to do anything?

I am buying a desktop with integrated graphics and i was wondering if when i put in a new graphics card, once it is actually fixed into the computer, will it just work by itself or do i need to install software?

I basically want to know if i have to do anything once i have put a new graphics card in, or will it just automatically improve my gaming experience?

If it is an AMD integrated graphics card you may need to uninstall the current software if you are getting an nvidia card.

Ideally you will want to get the latest drivers from the websites but that is it.
