Apologies in advance but this will be quite long.

I've been having some strange internet speeds, spikes, drops.

I have 350mb virgin internet..with an archer C3200 router.

I have a 40m ethernet cable to an outbuilding where PC is.

Last few days started experiencing really low speeds 4-60mb. Logging into modem shows I'm getting 350mb to the property. Speed tests vary from 4-60mb.

I've tried another ethernet cable, exactly same speeds. Ran malware checks etc, turned off all firewalls etc. Have tried in modem mode and router mode, with and without the Archer C3200 router. Have uninstalled any software installed in the last week or so since I've had the weird speeds.

Virgin are useless and have spoken to a robot sounding customer service rep who's solution is to post me an ethernet cable out then disconnected me after a 45 minute queue but I'm certain it's nott the cable as they are both very new and have no issues.

Have used a ping monitoring tool and nothing seems out of the ordinary, I have also monitored the usage on the network and nothing stands out.

I'm at a complete loss now and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
