anyone got thoughts/advice about internet security? just got a new build for my son, which is fantastic. it comes with a free 90 day Bullguard trial. Is this a good thing to use? I'm new to pcs so have no idea about this

Yes, windows built in security is fine. Uninstall Bullguard. You could use the free version of Malwarebytes as backup security but don't run the full version of that either.
Completely agree. The built-in Windows Defender and firewall is perfectly fine.

If you want a belts and braces approach, download malwarebytes antimalware and once a month or so do a scan.

Don't bother with the premium version, you just want an occasional on-demand scan.

Otherwise, yeah, stick to defender :)
