Is the ATI Radeon 6950 worth it?

Hi, im new to the forums. Would somebody be able to give me advice on choosing a GPU? Im considering getting the "2GB AMD Radeon 6950, but its a bit expensive. Would the 1GB AMD Radeon 6870 be good enough for high end gaming or would it be best to pay extra for the 6950? Thanks.

I bought the 6950 and I haven't regretted it. Well worth if you ask me
