Thanks for the advice, is there a monitor that I can buy on here as an added extra that is 1440p?

Actually no worries, I've picked one that is an AOC 144Hz and adjusted the storage to just 1TB Seagate- sound okay? It means I should be just a wee bit over budget but hopefully good enough

Slow down a bit, your budget and wants are changing quite quickly and the changes and choices might not be best.

Can you confirm your max budget please and if that includes the monitor or not?

I'm looking at doing it on finance so my budget is £55 each month through the finance option, works out at around £1600/1700 in full with VAT

Thanks so much for your help, I don't know where I'd be without you! I think I'd like to go option 2, it's not ideal trying to get the monitor elsewhere but I do want to go for 1440p gaming so I'll try to do that. If we can get finance options for the monitor it'd be fine, the current monitor I had on the specs was about that expensive anyway (but was only 1080p). In terms of the system itself I was looking at going for a GEFORCE 2060 (wanted 2070 but don't know if it's possible through the pricing) and Ryzen 7 processor, but you're the expert here so if you could get me a spec list that'd be much appreciated!
Flight simming would be one of the main purposes of the machine, but I'd like to kit it out well so I can play other titles that come out in time too.

Have put some storage there but the 1TB SATA can be removed to save money if necessary...you could always buy one in future when you needed more storage as they are quite cheap and easy to install

Would it be okay to make the case a bit simpler or would it make an impact? Just trying to cut costs as much as possible, other than that it's great!

That case is about the lowest you want to go without messing up thermal performance. The case isn't just about looks, it's about thermal performance primarily.

Thank you, managed to convince my Dad to keep the case- he was adamant that the cheap one would be fine but I don't want to waste a load of components being fried just because of a crappy case. The PC's all ordered now, thanks for your help- I'd be absolutely lost without it!
