A quad cpu should be ample enough and the i5 2500 is very good. The gpu is very powerful but id get the gtx 680 instead as its better. The cpu cooler is overkill and the a corsair power supply is better. Also the warranty for a year is a must at a fiver. Have a look at the spec below.

I would get the spec MadMan posted. The intel CPU will give you a better gaming experiance, even though it has less cores it will still beat the 6 core AMD in your spec. Also, the last i checked the 7970 was more expensive than the 680, and the 680 is more powerful so it's a no brainer to switch.
