Is this right? (cooling)

Hi all,

Got my PC yesterday finally after a long (but expected) wait, and couldn't help but notice (this could be a very nooby observation) that my heats sink fan/cooling is the wrong way up? Shouldn't it to be the side rather than facing down towards the graphics card? (see pic)

Any help would be great!

I wouldn’t be happy with that personally. It should be oriented along the horizontal with the fan drawing air out the rear of the case. Currently it’s sucking warm air directly from the GPU, plus the flow path will be very poor.

If it were me, I would request an RMA for that.

Case size?
Whats the black thing? Some sort of fan support/mount or is there something sat between the GPU and the fan too?
It looks like the whole thing has been squashed in.
Could the RGB RAM be the reason its that orientation?
