I’m at work just now so don’t have any screenshots of CPU-z readings, but as far as I remember my bios settings are as follows:
MOBO - ASUS ROG Tuf Plus Z370 MCE - Off Adaptive voltage (manual): MAX 1.28, MIN 1.15 with LLC level 5, IA DC/AC 0.01
Running prime95 for 15 mins saw a high reading of 87c on one of the cores, others were between 79 and 83
During a long gaming session one of the cores were at 86c, and averages out at between 68c and 76c
The main reason I’m posting this is to ask if it would be a good idea to reduce LLC from 5 to 4 as I don’t have much vdroop as I want slightly lower temps but did notice that on a lower voltage I had previously that upon suddenly reducing load on the cpu (I.e. alt tabbing out of a game) this caused my pc to blackscreen and shut off.
Increasing voltage seems to have stabilised this, but I’m not comfortable with seeing 1.31v on CPU-Z when it’s under full load
Any tips to optimise this further?
