Almost. The 5870 has definatly proved itself against the GTX 480. In some cases it out performs the GTX 480 (Like I said). So you could say they are the equivalent of each other. Although the GTX 480 is the best of Nvidia at the moment but ATI have a card better than the 5870 (the 5970) and that's a monster. But I would still go with the GTX 480.im a bit behind on Nvidia Vs ATI... is the 5870 equivalent to the 480? in terms of low/mid/high range? so 5890=485 or whatever?
