just my opinion, but my background is in computer programming, networking and telecom ...When I added an extra 16GB to my 2013 iMac to make it 32GB I saw NOTICEABLE speed improvements in almost everything I do. I've been told (now that FS2020or MSFS has been out for nearly a month) - I've read in many sites that among people testing FPS with different builds - 64GB is used for some benchmarking activities with the sim .... I hope you did at least go with 32GB ... and remember, the suggestion for ideal spec doesn't mean maximum performance, I really do believe that the sim does not use more than 4 cores in a processor but will gobble up pretty much whatever power your throw at it , so 64GB should not be out of the question...
