New machine arrived today without OS. 2 hours later ubuntu 15.04 is on and working. Only issue so far is no wireless, despite well known hardware (in my case Intel 3160). Tried on 2 different networks - no joy.

Bottom line - turn off bluetooth (use the settings) and reboot - hey presto wireless now working. Apparently related to sharing of antenna. Fix will come eventually.

Advice if you are considering ubuntu:-
Prepare a boot usb stick as per ubuntu website
Press F12 during initial boot sequence to boot from usb
Have a cable connection available until after installation
