laptop cooling stand

Hi I am new to the whole cooling stand thing and I would like some help with a few things:
1. Does fan size affect the stands cooling potential?
2. Is more fans better or is one fine?
3. What cooling stand would people recommend?

While I've only used a generic microsoft cooling stand, fed from usb and of one speed, I should think like case fans its a question of how much air you can/want to shift (typically measured in CFM, cubic feet per minute for example) verses the noise it generates, usually in dBA, decibels A weighted, noting that a smaller faster moving fan will be nosier to the ear than a larger slower fan for equivalent air moved.

With my laptop on order I'll revisit this thread and let you know what I find out if I go looking for one.

Hummmm, ducting kit and and second hand portable air con unit off ebay could be a little project?.....no, it cant run that hot.....surely.....
