Laptop fans

I have a vortex 3 laptop ati 7970m crossfire. Its just started happening but the fans on this thing stay permanently on full. Ive changed the
power setting but nothing changes. OS win 7 gpu drivers are windows drivers I have no access to Intel Graphics and never have done.
All other drivers i try to use cause bsod. Any ideas peeps

I've heard that you need to start an app that utilises the 7970m's such as afterburner, or kombuster etc and then the fans should do their business. It's a well known driver related issue that the fans stick to the speed they were going at when you close an app/game. So if you were playing a game for hours then the fans would be going pretty fast to keep the GPU cool and once you close the game they would just stay to that speed regardless of what you are doing. Try the trick I mentioned above, open a program that uses the 7970m's and hopefully that triggers them into normal speeds.
