For those who notice - the I5 is to take the order within my budget while still giving gaming performance as much as possible
The laptop will be used for gaming and general use.
I will be using a copy of windows 7 professional provided to me by microsoft msdn and will be upgrading the ram (to two 4gb sticks making 8gb) and the HDD will be upgraded to a momentus xt 750gb when I have the funds

Opinion tomorrow - review sometime next week :)

Seems like it will be a beast, although I would recommend you swap the hdd for the 128 gb v200 ssd it's only ~£10 more right now and the difference would be MASSIVE.

Once you have finalized you're upgrades it will be a pretty decent set up. Look forward to seeing pics.

decided not to get an ssd since it would SEVERELY limit how many games I can install (its a 1 hdd bay laptop) while the momentus xt will give me a "best of both worlds" scenario, plus the reason I chose this is because I wont be using the hdd or the ram installed in the system

thanks for the suggestion though

forgot to say, i would still like to have some gaming before the momentus is bought as I already have dark souls, oblivion and will get borderlands 2 on friday after my wages get in

Hi Forbiddenloli,

Doing the same as you, although I've taken the 128GB Kingston V200 as I thought I could use it as a scratch disk for fast image access for my Lightroom 4.1 catalogue on my desktop. But I have now put an older 500GB momentus XT into the machine. Seems to still give speedy bootup. Best of both worlds. I've since ordered a Crucial M4 256GB mSata drive to put into the laptop in addition to the 500GB drive. mSata is an option if you wish to add an SSD in the future.

sigh
It got to local depot at 9 - i'm still waiting :'(
it'll be here today but I want it NOW :'(

Edit - in predictable DPD fashion - the driver went home for an early night (I assume) because I still had 26 minutes in my delivery window but it went back to depot........ I am disappointed immensely (at DPD, not at PCS)

Heres hoping its going to arrive today.....
