Laptop replacement

Here is my current optimus spec. I would be grateful if anyone could suggest any improvements without changing the price too much.
In particular - is the SSD OK to boot Windows with a bit left over?
I have the Windows 8 Pro Edition because I think I will need Hyper-V and I think the processor will support that?
I have the 500GB drive because it has plenty of cache, but it is only 3Gb/s is that OK?

Nice spec. Do you really need 12GB over 8? That is the SSD set up I have chosen and I think it works great, you have like 80gb spare after windows is installed so you can put some of your most precious programs on there. And if in the future you can always open it up and change once SSD prices diminish. I didnt go for windows 8 however as I just wanted something I know for now, and with a 15 quid upgrade cost its no great loss.

Only thing I would suggest is getting the silver insurance for a fiver, and pixel cover, I would hate to of got mine up and running and have one annoying dead pixel. And again with the thermal paste pesonal preference, but knowing how hot my previous laptop got I want anything I can get to help my laptop keep cool.

Spec wise though dont, think there is a better laptop out there without going silly money.
