hey guys just wondering if this spec can play most games on medium-high to high settings

any advice on changes is welcome

can spend about £100 more if needs be.

A sound card is a bit pointless these days to be honest, unless you have a monster speaker setup or are into recording music you can skip it and not notice.

If you had maybe £200 or so left to spend i would probably recommend a totaly different build but as things stand you have a decent gaming laptop for mid level gaming.

I would however suggest, getting the 2.20Ghz quadcore CPU, it is cheaper and faster than the 2.80Ghz you have. Also the upgraded wireless card is probably a waste of money.

Here is something else to consider that would be far better at gaming, has a smaller screen but would be a little over your budget.

The 17" spec is about £100 more and would be even better than the above but that is probably pushing to way too far.

The 555m will play most games on medium settings atleast, but most of the old games it will max out. It just depends what you play.
