Laptop spec help

Hello,
I need to purchase a laptop since the internal fan on my old ASUS (4 years) is completely dead, tried to replace the fan with a new one but still not working and it gets extremelly hot when iddle or browsing the web. I have recently purchased an intel SSD 330 120GB that I wish to use as my main drive, I also have an operating system. The purpose of the laptop is just for using microsoft office, web browsing and watch videos/movies, no intended gaming. My budget can go up to £550.

I added the full HD screen their for movies, and for that you need the upgraded GPU, if your not bothered by full HD then you could knock about £100 off that build by getting the standard screen and built in graphics.

That spec is plenty for your needs i would say, with a SSD it should be a really nice setup.

Thanks for that, I do have an OS so i could take £79 out and possibly go with an i5 and 8gb. For HD movies I need a better GPU than the integrated one? I was thinking of the 14.1 Xenon but I cannot find a difference in dimensions and weights between the laptops available on the PCS site.

It wont let you choose the HD screen with the standard integrated GPU for some reason, not sure why to be honest.

If your not too bothered about HD then skip it, but the configurator wont let you have the upgraded HD screen and the integrated GPU.

Yeah i thought i had that OS taken out of their, obviosuly not. An i5 wont really give you any benefit, or 8GB of RAM for that matter. Most fo the time for office based stuff you will use about 2 GB max so 4 is fine. in my opinion.
