Laptop Spec Upgrade Suggestions

Hi everyone! I have Recoil III RTX 15.6" Laptop. And I was thinking if there are some parts might need to be upgraded.
I am confused about storage by the way also I'm thinking to upgrade the RAM to 32GB. Another thing is I want to get better thermal paste and bluetooth&wireless. As I realised it can be better to get better ones also this laptop does not have Gsync which is bad. Lastly I want to change the system to Windows Pro because basically I am not familier with Home. I don't know if I can do that on the computer.

I am using the laptop gaming,non-gaming. That is why I am thinking to upgrade the ram.

It will be also better if you share the cost of change. Thank you.

I don't see why your laptop wouldn't have G-Sync as your GPU has the capacity to run it (is there not an option in the NVIDIA Settings?)
It’s not the GPU that determines GSync really, it’s the monitor, it has to have a gsync module embedded which governs refresh rates. Any nvidia gpu is gsync enabled through the driver.

I don’t believe the recoil has gsync or it would mention it in the display section.

In next months I will need to upgrade to storage or buy external drive. I am confused about which one would be better any fairly cheaper?
I know how to install Windows 10 just I don't know if I can use the key when I am downloading Windows 10 Pro.
Also I might need to use AutoCAD and etc. programs as well as video editing. For now I can skip thermal paste but for Wi-Fi if better one will be really good option I am considering to change it. I tried to find G-Sync but could not find any option in Nvidia Control Panel.

Why do you want these “upgrades”? Your WiFi card is top tier, is there something wrong that’s making you want to upgrade? It’s likely an issue that just need resolving.

what router are you connecting to?

why do you want more ram? For what uses?

there is no difference between home and pro other than that you can join a domain? Do you require that?

I’m trying to determine what your issues are as they are very likely issues that need addressing rather than requiring an upgrade.

Thank you for correcting me...I was reading up on G-Sync in laptops and I read something that said G-Sync works differently on laptops and that it is all done through the GPU rather than via the monitor as with a PC. My apologies for posting incorrect information...clearly i need to expand my knowledge!!
That’s ok. They still need the gsync module I believe. There’s quite a good summary of the actual tech here:

I don't have that much knowledge about computer components. But I saw another Wi-Fi option which is "GIGABIT LAN & KILLER™ Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 M.2 GAMING + BLUETOOTH 5.0". Otherwise there is nothing wrong with my Wi-Fi card.

I don't know if 32 GB will be better for using programs such as AutoCad and video editing. I never used Windows Home before so it is just a preference for me. I like to use Pro instead.

Okay...I have become a little confused here....you write that you have a Recoil in your original post yet your replies read to me that you have yet to buy it and are pondering changing parts before ordering. Could you please clarify which it is as, if you have yet to buy it, then a different laptop may be better if you really need G-Sync
No worries, all good. I have the laptop. So I am not ordering it.

This sounds like "upgrading" (really, just changing things) for the sake of it.

What do you need in Pro that Home does not have? I mean, do you really use gpedit several times a day, or what?

Upgrading the RAM in your case means replacing the RAM, because there are only 2 slots. And 16gb may well be enough for your CAD and video editing needs. It would make a lot more sense to start using the software, then see if you need more RAM, rather than buying it because maybe you might possibly benefit from it, possibly, slightly.

In terms of storage, how much more do you need, and what are you storing on it?

For gsync, you could buy an external monitor with adaptive sync and connect it with displayport to the laptop.

As I said, there is absolutely no difference to windows pro other than the fact it will be able to join a domain. Literally no difference, exactly the same interface, exactly the same version. There is literally no benefit whatsoever

If the RAM will be enough then for now I don't need to change.

For storage I might need 1 or more TB storage because I want to hold my stuff in there and I'm sure that for later 512 GB will not be enough.

Also for windows system I will stick with Home now.
