Laptops main display using the iGPU

When playing games the laptop decides to use the intergrated gpu but as soon as i plug it into a monitor and run the game on that i get alot more fps and the game runs alot better

is there a way i can make the laptops display use the dedicated gpu?

Yes mate.

I assume this is a PCSpecialist laptop for trouble shooting purposes would you post the full spec of your laptop from your order page.

You can whitelist games to force them to run with your dGPU. This used to be handled by the nvidia control panel but now its handled by Windows.

Right click on your desktop and click on "Display settings", when the display configuration screen opens click on "Graphics Settings".

Under "Graphics performance pettings" click on "Browse". Navigate to the install location of the program you want to white list and select its .exe click on "Add".

Now select the program from the list and click on "Options" here you can force Windows to always use your dGPU.
