My problem is I am trying to install Linux Mint 17.2 64bit alongside it as a dual boot laptop.

I am having no luck installing Linux, I normally have no issues installing Linux alongside Windows or as a sole OS.
But, I am getting nowhere with this laptop.

I even tried different versions of Linux Mint (MATE etc) and different Linux OS's (Debian etc), still no joy.

I have read it may be something to do with the drivers, the laptop has the latest ones, while the Linux distro has not.

Any help in installing Linux Mint 17.2 onto this laptop would be welcome, as Linux is my main OS on my other computers.

Thanks

goto your bios settings disable secure boot, set usb as first boot, have a look at the other settings while you are at it, maybe there is a boot other os to set.

google about to find out how to get a linux on a usb, boot from it, but don't install, see if it works, google about somemore to fix any issues.

repart hd (probably inside windoz) or use a second, and install.

edit: btw this may not be a reversible process...
