Hi has anyone ever installed linux onto a 14.1" Xenon laptop before? Did it work? Were there any problems? And what version of Linux did you install (I intend to use Ubuntu 12.04?

here's the spec I want to have, does anyone see any problems with it with regards to linux compatibility?

http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/xenon/

I will have all the default options except I want to buy it with i3 processor, 2 x 2Gb RAM, 90Gb SSD, and without windows or any of the free software.

Thanks

I just jumped into this boat also, I just ordered my Xenon. But only after doing lots of research, almost all of the components inside of the Clevo platform conform to standard Intel specs. And there appears to be no, unique hardware involved so there shouldn't be any driver issues with any of the Linux distros out there.

I've now had this laptop all of 4 days, and everything works more or less, the ld-sensor (temp) software had to be manually configured, and the SD-card reader is not functioning, however it appears to be fixed in the next release of the kernel, I'm using Mint 13 Cinnamon and loving it. http://www.branedy.net/?p=2313
