Hi Guys,

Bit of a novice when it comes to hardware, I wish to run ubuntu 15.04 (and other distro's potentially) here's what I've chosen, will I have compat issues? Would be willing to spend more/less to meet the demands of being compatible with ubuntu. Thanks for any help.

You shouldn't really have any trouble there I would of thought, I used to dual boot w7 & ubuntu on my optimus v,
no issues at all. The gpu switching might need to be looked at, but install it first, see how you get on. Ubuntu works
pretty well on the optimus in my experience, everything worked for me immediately.
