Liquid damage

Spilt Tea over my laptop keyboard!

My laptop is currently upside down drying out, I tried getting most of the tea with toilet paper.

Just wondering what my next step should be?
I'm pretty sure the laptop will have gotten some serious damage :(
Does PC specialist do repairs?
Would this possibly be covered in the warranty? (long shot)
I am unsure if my insurance is still valid on this laptop, who should I contact to find this out?

Any help would be appreciated!

I would recommend leaving it for a week or two, in the airing cupboard or something before even attempting to turn it back on again, but if it was switched on when tea was spilt over it, it's likely any damage to the boards will already be done, but you may be lucky. I imagine you've already tried it though, as you do, in a panic!

We can repair the laptop for you however I'm afraid that the repair will not be covered under warranty :(

I'd recommend calling Tech Support first, then they can create an RMA for you, but until we have the laptop and have diagnosed which parts have been damaged, we cannot quote for the repair.

Hope this helps?

All may not be lost, my borther spilt a whole cup of coke over his dell laptop keyboard (whilst it was turned on) over 2 years ago and the laptop is still working now! All he did was mop up the excess coke and left it a couple of days before turning it back on, then when he got home i removed the keyboard and cleaned it and any other messy area with a damp cloth.
