Tried to start my laptop tonight but received an error message about CMOS, I did an internet search and found it could be the battery on the motherboard so changed it. Still getting the same error messages though!? I need help please

Is this a pcspecialist system? Could you post your full specs from the order page please?

And what's the exact error, could you take a photo?

I’ve attached my laptops spec, yes it was from pcspecialist.
Hiya, I've deleted the image as it contained personal information, be careful what you post publicly.

Could you just copy and paste the specs from the order page?

And could you upload a photo of the error?

Tried to upload a photo of the screen but the files too big, the screen is black with white text.

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE ROM

Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press key

So that's related to not finding the boot drive, or that the boot order has been changed.

What it's doing is checking the network for a boot source, where it needs to be first checking the SSD.

If you go into the BIOS and check the boot order, make sure the SSD / EFI boot manager is the first boot device.

It may be that the SSD has failed. You can check this by looking at your drives in the BIOS, if it's not listed it's likely failed.

I know my laptop isn’t that old but I didn’t expect a SSD to fail so quickly! I’ll take a look again tomorrow

So I’ve just got back from work and picked up the laptop to try amending the boot order but that didn’t work, but the EUFI appeared to be disabled? I’ve enable that and restarted and voilà! It’s working, should I be looking at any other issues?
