please let me know feedback on below, also any good recommendation on 24 inch monitor for gaming with no tearing. Might not have budget for it, but need a steer on whats good.

Do you use the GPU in VM’s?

If not you’ll need a far better monitor to pair with it or a much lesser GPU, there’s no benefit to the 3080 unless you’ve got a very premium monitor with it which will be around £1000 just for the monitor.

Hi spydertracks, vm stuff is just servers with ad domain, system center stuff, and links to intune and azure ad. Really only asking about monitor as a possible purchase for my gaming, which will be done from same box. Probably dual boot. Win10 for fun, server 2019 vm host running 8 or more vms Of various specs.

current box is a 3770k with 32gig mem. 2tb ssd. 1070ti. Cant run more than 8 vms in hyperv with hitting mem limit.

In that case, you won’t use the 3080 if you’re not pairing with a decent monitor, won’t make any difference over a 3060 which would still be overpowered for 1080p.
