Monitor advice

I am looking for a new monitor to go along with my new pc.

It will be used primarily for gaming at 1080p and my budget is £200-£300 and i'd prefer a larger screen (since i've got pretty poor eyesight).

I know next to nothing about what makes a good monitor so any general info about what i should be looking for will be helpful.

You can get 27" 1080p monitors, but many would say 1080p at that size reduces the quality quite a bit, it's just too big for that pixel density so it starts to look a little blurry.

The optimum size would be 24" for visual fidelity, but that depends on what's more important to you?

Either way, that's a healthy budget for either.
