Can anyone recommend a 1440p monitor for the system below? Nothing too fancy and a max budget of £400.

This is over budget at £460 but I'll post it anyway as I think it's probably the best performer at this budget on the market and worth consideration, it's a 27" Fast IPS at 280ish Hz so gives some room to grow into also with GPU upgrades.

But actually there's a new contender in this space which is a budget option, but somehow packs in full HDR1000 support.

If you're unfamiliar with HDR, here's a summary, I would say these days it's essential for top tier gaming performance, but is EXTREMELY unusual to find anything above HDR400 (which isn't true HDR) at anywhere near this budget, this is the first monitor to do it:

This is currently out of stock everywhere as it's been so popular but might be worth signing up for notifications if you don't need anything instantly, it's a standard aspect ratio 1440p at 180Hz BUT with HDR1000 at around £300: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/a...a-mini-led-gaming-monitor-black-10260314.html

Also, you've got a really powerful GPU in that build, so I'll post this as an option also for an Ultrawide, this has slightly higher resolution across the horizontal so you see more in your peripheral view. Especially for any kind of SIM games, this is quite a substantial bonus for immersion. Costs around £330

Wow, some good ideas there. I have been considering an ultrawide but 1, I didn't know how much performance it would strip from my PC and 2, I feel like there is some weird fisheye effect at the sides (this could be just the video's I've seen)

The GPU you've got is overpowered for 1440p standard resolution, it's more than enough for ultrawide.

It's worth going somewhere like Currys to see one up close. Almost all games support ultrawide these days. I personally have a superwide which is extra extra wide and could never go back to standard aspect ratio, it's sooo much more immersive for games.

They've actually literally just dropped the best of the pick of 1440p monitors, worth having a look
