Monitor repair - where? - London

My monitor (which came with my PC Specialist PC) looks to have died. One of the backlights went. Internet indicates this can be repaired, but most of the "computer" shops round my way wont do it unless its a phone or laptop.

Any London repair centres that could fix this (preferably N. London, or off N circular)?

You’d need to raise an RMA with PCS.

You can do this from your main PCS account

If you're still in your PCS warranty I'd suggest raising a RMA as @BlessedSquirrel suggested. Even if not it could still be worth giving them a call to discuss as they might be able to suggest a solution/repair route.

You could contact the OEM for the monitor (is it still the MSI 31.5" Optix??), if so that would be MSI in this case. You might have a longer warranty with them?

Repairing is always an option but it might end up costing more (or the equivalent of) a newer display, so something to bare in mind. I'm not a London local so don't have any suggestions as for repair solutions unfortunately.

Im about 7 years since my warrenty :D. hence why I was looking for something local the hive mind might know :p

Will give them a tinkle anyway, thanks
Even if it’s out of warranty with PCS they’ll be able to tell you if it’s within manufacturers warranty, and if it is they’ll often deal with the manufacturer on your behalf, so it’s always worth calling PCS in the first instance
