mSATA SSD Drives now available to order!

If I've read the description right, this means I can get an SSD but still keeping the 2 storage bays free? So does that mean I can technically get 3 HDD bays? Sorry, got no idea what an mSATA thingy is.:)

Yes, but performance is lower than regular SSDs, more like

"Max Read: up to 280 MB/s
Max Write: up to 260 MB/s
Random Write 4k: 32,500 IOPS"

for the OCZ Nocti, according to some reviews I found online.


If you look closely at the pictures of the VortexIII-17 you will see on the diagram where it all fits in.

I for once would really like to see an option to replace the optical drive with a hard drive caddy, then you'd get 4 drives. And then, once a year, I could dig out my external USB DVD drive if I really have to. But then some people like to have a Blue-ray, but then again - some don't. It would be really nice to have the option, though.
