Hey guys! :)

Who’s ready for the new flight sim coming out next month?! I definitely am, new PC and just pre-ordered the Premium Deluxe version. Can officially say I am ready <3

Anyone else looking to pre-order this?

Yes I'm buzzing about this! I've been waiting with baited breath since the launch trailer at E3 last year... Must say I'm shocked it is coming next month. It has completely thrown me that I'm strongly considering buying a PC (particularly custom building) but don't have a clue where to start lol. Was going to hold out for the console launch but who knows when that will be and I can't be bothered to wait any more!

I started it on the Spectrum (a million years ago I know), then found it on the Xbox (which is an ok port but not brilliant). Back in love with it again, especially as it drives the Mrs nuts!!! I've not tried a VR rig so haven't got a clue
It's incredible in VR, I'd almost say it's worth getting a headset just for Elite, you can sink years into it.

Disappointed of all this chat without a single link to the release trailer to have people drooling :D

I'm not hitting the button yet as I need VR. I can't accept playing this game on a screen now. As soon as they confirm VR support I'll be hitting that button and you're unlikely to see me on here for weeks haha.

Re Elite Dangerous, I've never played it. I've always fancied flying around in a space ship though. Is it something that you can get into casually without being blown to smithereens within 3 seconds by a 12 year old (every FPS game I've ever played online).

You can literally lose days playing Elite mate and no, you can play solo, so the only ships you'll see are AI ones and you "shouldn't" get blown up straight away. Apparently it's the mutts nuts in VR too.

As @Grumpywurzel says, you can play with AI. It is pretty special in VR, would highly recommend.

^ works a treat for gaming, competitively at least :) next build will definitely be an AMD build if they’re still ahead of Intel
